F1 Sensation: Young Talent Kimi Antonelli Receives Endorsement for Ferrari Move

In a groundbreaking turn of events in the world of Formula 1, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has given his seal of approval for the potential move of rising star Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes to Ferrari. The young Italian driver has been turning heads with his impressive performances, becoming the sole Italian driver on the grid and igniting hopes of a return to glory for Ferrari with a hometown hero behind the wheel.

Antonelli’s meteoric rise in the sport has not gone unnoticed, with former Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo expressing his desire to see the talented driver donning the iconic red colors. Domenicali echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of having an Italian driver in an Italian car, serving as a role model for the youth of today.

Despite his ties to Mercedes through their young driver program, Antonelli’s skills and potential have positioned him as a prime candidate for a future Ferrari seat. The 18-year-old sensation skipped F3 entirely to compete in the F2 championship, showcasing his raw talent and determination on the track. While he may still be in the early stages of his F1 career, Antonelli has already demonstrated his capabilities with solid points finishes in the 2025 season.

As speculation mounts about a possible move to Ferrari, Domenicali urged patience and restraint in comparing Antonelli to established champions in the sport. The F1 CEO expressed confidence in the young driver’s abilities, hinting at a bright future ahead. With his family by his side and a promising career trajectory, Kimi Antonelli is poised to become a central figure in the high-octane world of Formula 1.

Stay tuned as the F1 landscape continues to evolve, with Antonelli’s potential move to Ferrari adding an exciting new chapter to the sport’s storied history.
