Isack Hadjar, the Rising Star of Racing Bulls, Laments Missed Opportunities at Bahrain Grand Prix

The Bahrain Grand Prix was a rollercoaster of emotions for Isack Hadjar, the French driver who finished in 13th place. The race was marred by a poor start that significantly impacted his performance throughout the event. Despite showing aggressive pace and strategic maneuvers, Hadjar expressed frustration at falling short in the race.

This weekend in Sakhir proved to be a challenging one for Red Bull, with both Verstappen and Tsunoda finishing in 6th and 9th place, marking the first time in this season that both Red Bull drivers scored points. However, Racing Bulls failed to break into the top 10, leaving Hadjar disappointed after his promising 8th place finish in Japan.

Reflecting on his race in Bahrain, Hadjar commented on his difficult start, saying, “The start wasn’t good because I lost four positions, and it felt like I wasn’t moving from the grid. I didn’t quite understand why, so we’ll need to review what happened. I think the procedure was correct, but I spun the wheels, which led us to miss the trajectory in the first lap.”

Hadjar acknowledged that a better qualifying position could have changed the outcome of the race but emphasized that their aggressive pace and strategy were the right approach. However, he lamented the distance they fell behind after the start, which hindered their chances of a stronger finish. The challenge was further compounded by the Safety Car period, which made it difficult for them to restart with used hard tires.

Looking ahead, Hadjar remains determined to learn from the missed opportunities in Bahrain and make the necessary adjustments for future races. Racing Bulls fans can expect a relentless pursuit of improvement as Hadjar continues to showcase his talent on the track.
