Elfyn Evans, the current leader of the World Rally Championship, is ecstatic about the return of the WRC to Spain. Known for his passion for bringing rallying closer to the fans, Evans expressed his delight at the prospect of competing in Spain once again.

Having recently participated in the Rally Sierra Morena as a warm-up for Rally Islas Canarias, Evans was impressed by the overwhelming support of spectators lining the stages around Córdoba. The Welsh driver emphasized the importance of holding rallies in locations where the sport is highly appreciated, citing Spain as one of those special places.

With the upcoming WRC round in Las Palmas, the excitement is palpable as legendary driver Carlos Sainz shared his positive memories of the location, highlighting the challenging roads and the immense support from Spanish fans. Evans, who has a strong track record in Spain, is eager to showcase his skills once more.

Reflecting on his performance during the previous year in Spain, where he secured a commendable second place finish, Evans acknowledged that there is still room for improvement in fine-tuning his Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. He praised the reliability and consistency of the Hankook tires, essential components for success in competitive rallying.

As the WRC returns to Spain after a significant hiatus, the anticipation among drivers and fans is at an all-time high. The blend of thrilling competition and enthusiastic spectators promises an unforgettable experience for all involved. With Evans leading the championship, eyes are on him to deliver another stellar performance on the Spanish stages.
