F1 2025 Showdown: Hamilton vs Leclerc – Ralf Schumacher’s Predictions for the Ferrari Intra-team Battle

In a shocking turn of events, former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has unleashed a scathing attack on Alpine, accusing the team of providing “no support” to driver Jack Doohan amidst rumors of his potential departure.

Amidst speculations about Doohan’s future at Alpine even before the start of the F1 2025 season, the Australian driver has been struggling to make his mark. With the Bahrain Grand Prix marking the fourth race of the season, Doohan is yet to score a point, unlike his teammate Pierre Gasly.

Doohan’s campaign has been plagued by two significant crashes, including a terrifying FP2 crash at the Japanese Grand Prix. Initially attributed to a driver error of not closing the DRS in high-speed Turn 1, the crash has raised concerns about Alpine’s support for the young driver.

Schumacher criticized Alpine for allowing potential replacement driver Franco Colapinto to drive in a TPC outing, insinuating a lack of faith in Doohan. He further condemned the team for not supporting Doohan adequately, pointing out instances where Doohan was not given enough track time, such as during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend.

Despite acknowledging Doohan’s role in the crashes, Schumacher ultimately places the blame on Alpine for their lack of support and guidance. With Doohan facing mounting pressure to deliver results, the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix poses a crucial opportunity for him to silence his critics.

Journalist Michael Schmidt highlighted the financial implications of Doohan’s crashes, suggesting that Alpine executive advisor Flavio Briatore may consider replacing him. The costly repairs following the crashes have added to the team’s budget concerns, putting Doohan’s future with Alpine in jeopardy.

As the drama unfolds in the world of Formula 1, all eyes are on Jack Doohan as he navigates the challenges ahead and fights to secure his position amidst mounting criticism and uncertainty.
