And I think people always expect me to say yes, but I don’t think there’s a reason to be surprised,” remarked Norris. “I’ve always had a lot of respect for Max. There are those moments when you’re in the car driving, and you know what’s good and what’s not. I don’t need anyone to tell me what Max is capable of or whether I should think this or that. I have my opinions, but I will always respect him. I know how good he is from the first time we shook hands, and I was half my height now. I don’t need people to tell me these things. And people seem shocked when I say I’m not surprised and things like that, but I know how good he is. I know what he’s capable of. So I would say nothing is a surprise anymore. I am still convinced that we will have great races, that we can go head-to-head, and that on some occasions, he will come out on top while on others, it will be me.”
