Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are set to receive a major boost with Ferrari’s rumored new upgrade for the SF-25. Following a lackluster start to the F1 2025 season, Ferrari is reportedly gearing up to unveil a new floor at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, aimed at enhancing the performance of their challengers.

The new floor is designed to address issues of balance and pure performance with the SF-25, providing better stability and balance to widen the car’s working window. Ferrari also aims to shift the car’s center of pressure forward to improve cornering rotation, combating understeer experienced in the early races of the season.

However, there is a catch – the upgraded floor must generate more efficient downforce at the current ride heights to avoid skid block wear issues. This precaution comes after Lewis Hamilton faced disqualification in China due to excessive wear on the underfloor plank of his Ferrari.

Hamilton, who clinched a Sprint victory in China but has been facing challenges in Grand Prix races, expressed optimism about potential improvements with the new upgrade. He highlighted an “underperforming” element in his SF-25 and emphasized the need to close the performance gap with their competitors.

With Ferrari aiming to revamp their SF-25 with the new floor, all eyes are on how this upgrade will impact Hamilton and Leclerc’s performance on the track. Stay tuned for the Bahrain Grand Prix to witness the potential game-changer for the Ferrari team in the F1 2025 season.
