Helmut Marko planeja dividir metade de seus ganhos de apostas no Qualifying do GP do Bahrain com seu companheiro de equipe Max Verstappen.

Max Verstappen delivered an impressive lap during the qualifying session for the Bahrain GP, securing the coveted pole position. The first qualifying session of the season took place yesterday, and Verstappen emerged as the leader in a fierce qualifying battle. A consultant, known as GP, made a bet with Helmut Marko, the Austrian, about Verstappen’s chances of securing the pole position. If Verstappen succeeded, Marko would have won the bet and earned some extra money. Marko took the opportunity to make a lighthearted comment about this situation.

During the Bahrain qualifying session, several drivers competed for the top spot in tomorrow’s race. However, Verstappen, the talented Dutch driver, claimed the pole position with just two tenths of a second separating him from his closest competitor. As a result of Verstappen’s exceptional performance, GP now owes Marko 50 pounds, according to their bet.

The octogenarian Marko had made a bet with Gianpiero Lambiase, and the bet was about who would secure the pole position. After winning the bet, Marko explained that he would have to share half of his winnings with the 26-year-old Verstappen, as the latter proved to be a tough negotiator.

Verstappen’s satisfaction with his pole position can be understood from the radio message that GP transmitted to him, asking if his lap time was enough to secure the pole or not.

While Verstappen celebrated his thrilling pole position, his teammate could only manage to finish in fifth place. This may have been disappointing for Marko, considering the fans’ expectations. However, the Austrian expressed his satisfaction with his teammate’s performance.

Marko seemed pleased with the Mexican driver’s performance in qualifying. Furthermore, the octogenarian acknowledged that the Monegasque driver was expected to be faster than Verstappen, so his fifth place was not a surprise to Marko.

On the other hand, consultant GP believes that the race may present a different scenario for Pérez. Marko anticipates that the 34-year-old Mexican driver will progress during the race and contribute to securing a one-two finish for the Red Bull Formula 1 team.
