In a thrilling turn of events at the Japanese Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz and Yuki Tsunoda faced a shocking elimination during Q2 of the race. The session kicked off with Max Verstappen setting a blazing pace, leaving Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in his wake. However, it was Lando Norris who stole the show by snatching the top spot from Verstappen, showcasing his exceptional skills on the track.

As the session unfolded, a fiery moment on the Suzuka circuit caused a brief halt with red flags waving, adding to the drama. With Norris leading the pack, the pressure was on for other drivers to deliver standout performances. Despite their efforts, both Sainz and Tsunoda failed to make the cut, facing an unexpected early exit from the qualifying session.

As the dust settled, it was confirmed that Gasly, Sainz, Alonso, Lawson, and Tsunoda were the unfortunate ones to miss out on progressing further. Meanwhile, Norris reigned supreme with the fastest time, followed by Russell, Verstappen, Piastri, and Leclerc in the top positions. Hamilton, Antonelli, Bearman, Hadjar, and Albon completed the top 10, setting the stage for an intense race day at the Japanese Grand Prix.
