Jeep Avenger híbrido ganha versão com tração integral

Jeep has announced the start of production for the all-wheel-drive Avenger 4xe at Stellantis’ factory in Tychy, Poland. The first unit produced of the new Avenger 4xe was a The North Face Edition, an exclusive collection limited to 4,806 units, a number that symbolizes the altitude of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Europe.

It is worth noting that the all-wheel-drive Avenger is available in three equipment levels: Upland, Overland, and the exclusive special version The North Face Edition.

All versions are equipped with a 4xe drive unit, which combines a 48V hybrid system with a 1.2-liter turbo engine that develops 145 hp, paired with two 21 kW electric motors located at the front and rear.

This configuration ensures all-wheel drive and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with dual clutch, allowing the vehicle to be driven in fully electric mode at low speeds.

The new Avenger 4xe boasts a maximum power of 145 hp and a top speed of 194 km/h, which is 10 km/h higher than the e-Hybrid version. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 9.5 seconds.

The traction unit of the Jeep Avenger 4xe stands out as the most powerful in the Avenger’s hybrid range, offering an additional 36 hp and 25 Nm of torque compared to the front-wheel-drive e-Hybrid version, resulting in quicker acceleration and a higher top speed.

In addition to its power, the new addition to the Avenger range also features enhanced off-road capabilities, with an approach angle of 22 degrees, a departure angle of 35 degrees, and a breakover angle of 21 degrees. The ground clearance has been increased by 10 mm, bringing it to a total of 210 mm, and it can handle water fording up to 400 mm, making it more robust and versatile than the front-wheel-drive version. The all-wheel-drive capability provides superior traction on various types of terrain.

The intelligent all-wheel-drive system ensures that the Jeep Avenger 4xe has 4×4 functionalities available when needed. Depending on the selected driving mode, at low speeds (up to 30 km/h), the permanent all-wheel drive maintains a torque distribution of 50:50; at medium speeds (from 30 to 90 km/h), the rear axle drive is activated only when necessary, while at high speeds (above 90 km/h), the rear electric motor disengages from the axle to optimize fuel consumption.

In addition, the Selec-Terrain system of the Avenger 4xe allows the driver to switch between modes adapted to specific driving conditions.
