Tsunoda’s take on the Red Bull RB21, based on his simulator sessions, paints a promising picture. “After two days in the simulator, I didn’t find the car too challenging to drive. The responsive front-end definitely stood out. I aim to develop my own car set-up and gradually speed up from FP1,” he elaborated.
Tsunoda’s enthusiasm for his inaugural Red Bull outing in front of his home crowd is infectious. “Getting the call was a ‘Wow’ moment. I am thrilled about the challenge ahead. Moments like these, with such extreme pressure and opportunity, make for an exhilarating race,” he said.
Despite the whirlwind of emotions, Tsunoda remains grounded. “As a reserve driver this year, I had done a seat fitting earlier. But then, I remember thinking: ‘Why am I even doing this?
