Xiaomi revê em alta estimativas de vendas do SU7 para 2024

Xiaomi has already revealed its plans to start marketing its models globally in 2027, however, the Chinese brand is already hiring personnel for an electric vehicle research and development center in Europe.

According to “Reuters”, Xiaomi is “fishing” for engineers and designers from various European brands, including BMW, from which it recruited Rudolf Dittrich last year to lead the European research center.

Additionally, Dusan Sarac has also joined Xiaomi’s European operations after several years at BMW and Rolls-Royce.

The same source further reports that Jannis Hellwig has also left BMW for Xiaomi, where he will serve as a senior engineer in performance development and integration. Moreover, Xiaomi is still looking for designers, as well as a range of engineers, for its development center in Europe.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and entered the automotive sector in 2024 with the launch of the SU7. Since then, the company has established itself as one of the largest Chinese manufacturers in terms of sales, even surpassing the sales of the Tesla Model 3 in December.

The Chinese brand has recently expanded its range of models with the introduction of the SU7 Ultra, the sporty version of the SU7, into the Chinese market. Additionally, the launch of the YU7, a 100% electric SUV promising a range of up to 770 km, is expected at the beginning of the second half of the year.

Furthermore, Xiaomi revealed in recent weeks that it has increased the number of cars it plans to produce by the end of 2025, with an increase of 50,000 units compared to initial forecasts, bringing the total to 350,000 vehicles.
