Danica Patrick causa polêmica.

Danica Patrick made an appearance at the exclusive premiere of Netflix’s “Don’t Look Up” in New York City on December 5, 2021.

At 41 years old, famous for her achievements as a NASCAR and IndyCar driver, she joined Netflix’s documentary series as an analyst.

However, her involvement has generated discontent among some fans.

The first two episodes of the sixth season of Drive to Survive premiered on Monday, leading viewers to express their dissatisfaction on social media regarding Patrick’s participation.

Danica Patrick attended the world premiere of Netflix’s “Don’t Look Up” in New York City on December 5, 2021.

The former NASCAR legend has caused frustration among Formula 1 enthusiasts with recent comments.

“Why is Danica Patrick in [Drive to Survive]?” questioned @Welshrugby02 on X, previously known as Twitter.

“Stop imposing Danica Patrick on us,” lamented lfc.

Staycee C agreed, stating, “Please go away, lady.”

“She was an Indy car driver, she has no connection to #formula1 and, let’s be honest, her contributions are simply not convincing,” expressed @Condetesmorts3.

“Of all the women who truly deserve to be in DTS, they choose Danica Patrick,” noted Vale.

“There are countless talented, knowledgeable, and passionate people who cover this sport and would be excellent additions,” Jacqueline opined.

However, some Formula 1 enthusiasts defended the former racing star, with Luiz Carvalho stating, “I love Danica Patrick.”

“Leave Danica Patrick alone!” urged @WitchCelebrity. “I appreciate her presence in Sky F1’s coverage. I enjoy the insights from the drivers.

“She competed at the highest level of American motorsport, just like Mario Andretti. Enough of this bullying!”

Newsweek contacted Danica Patrick via email for comment.

Patrick achieved numerous records during her brilliant career, becoming the first woman in the United States to win a major open-wheel race.

She received several awards, including Rookie of the Year at the Indianapolis 500 in 2005 and Most Popular Driver in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2012.

Since her retirement in 2018, Patrick has focused on sports commentary, but certain recent comments have irritated racing enthusiasts.
