Lewis Hamilton’s inaugural race with Ferrari in the 2025 Australian Grand Prix was far from impressive, to put it mildly. The British racing icon found himself in a less than favourable position, a circumstance that has led to pointed criticism from Christian Horner.

The highly-respected Red Bull team principal, Horner, has taken a swipe at Ferrari for what he perceives as a glaring oversight. According to him, the Italian racing team missed an obvious strategic call regarding Hamilton’s race strategy.

Horner’s remarks have caused a stir in the racing community. The experienced team leader has a reputation for his strategic acumen and his comments have led many to question Ferrari’s decision-making process in the Australian GP.

It appears that Ferrari’s choice of strategy for Hamilton, one of the most decorated drivers in Formula 1 history, fell short of expectations. The disappointment of the race is a stark contrast to the anticipation that preceded Hamilton’s debut with the team. Fans had high hopes, but the reality has been a bitter pill to swallow.

The British driver’s move to Ferrari was intended to usher in a new era of domination in the sport. However, the recent setback has raised concerns over Ferrari’s ability to optimally leverage Hamilton’s skills and experience.

Horner’s criticism of Ferrari is seen by many as an indictment of the team’s strategic approach. It signifies a missed opportunity that could have changed the outcome of the Australian Grand Prix.

Ferrari’s decision-making process during the race is now under scrutiny, with Horner’s comments adding more fuel to the fire. It’s clear that the team will need to revisit their strategy and make necessary adjustments to capitalize on Hamilton’s prowess and deliver better results in future races.

In conclusion, Lewis Hamilton’s debut with Ferrari may not have gone as planned, but it has certainly sparked a conversation about race strategy and team decision-making in the world of Formula 1. The spotlight is now firmly on Ferrari as the team navigates the challenges ahead. Only time will tell if Ferrari can turn the tide and realize the full potential of having a driver of Hamilton’s caliber in their ranks.
