Red Bull Racing is investigating allegations of misconduct against Christian Horner

The head of the Red Bull Racing team, Christian Horner, is being investigated by the company for alleged misconduct towards a female colleague. The story has garnered a lot of attention since it came to light, with reports describing the behavior as “aggressive and controlling”. Subsequent reports have revealed that the misconduct in question is of a sexual nature.

Despite the ongoing investigation, Horner has vehemently denied the rumors and continued to fulfill his obligations at Red Bull Racing. He has maintained that it is “business as usual” for him, demonstrating his commitment to his position, despite the recognized and respected investigation process.

Recently, Horner attended the launch of Red Bull’s Formula 1 car for 2020, the RB20, and participated in the three-day pre-season testing in Bahrain. The performance of the RB20, driven by Max Verstappen, indicated that it could be the dominant car for another season.

While Formula One Management has urged Red Bull to conclude the investigation quickly, Ford, Red Bull’s engine partner for 2026, has also called for transparency. It has been reported that the Austrian company intends to release the results of the investigation before the start of the season in Bahrain.

However, it has been revealed that Horner, who is still unaware of the outcome of the investigation, is on his way to Bahrain. This decision to travel before the results are disclosed is noteworthy, as an independent investigator is conducting the investigation.

Craig Slater, from Sky Sports F1, reported from Bahrain, stating: “What I can disclose is that Christian Horner is currently on his way to Bahrain. He is en route here. Furthermore, I can confirm that he is unaware of the resolution of the investigation into the allegations of misconduct made against him by a female employee.”

Horner’s arrival in Bahrain without knowledge of the investigation’s conclusion is in line with his previous stance of conducting “business as usual” and his denial of the accusations. He remains committed to his work and intends to continue fulfilling his responsibilities.

Horner is expected to arrive in Bahrain tonight. However, it is unknown whether the result of the investigation will be revealed at the same time. Previous reports indicated that an announcement would be made before the start of the season, but the timing remains uncertain, as Slater concluded his report.
