Ford has strengthened its strategy towards an electrified future in Europe, with the start of volume production of three new electric vehicles.
The Puma Gen-E, E-Tourneo Courier, and E-Transit Courier have begun production and are reaching customers across Europe, expanding the offering of electric models from the American brand.

In this way, the Puma Gen-E and the E-Tourneo Courier enhance Ford’s range of passenger electric vehicles in Europe, joining the Explorer, Capri, and Mustang Mach-E.
In the commercial vehicle segment, the E-Transit Courier completes Ford Pro’s offering, joining the E-Transit, E-Transit Custom, and E-Tourneo Custom.
All three models are built at Ford Otosan’s assembly plant in Craiova, Romania. Each uses electric drive units produced at Ford’s facilities in Halewood, UK, and parts manufactured at Ford’s components plant in Cologne, Germany, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability throughout the production process.

“Ford has made an incredible journey, from the introduction of our first electric vehicle in Europe, the Mustang Mach-E, to offering a wide range of electric cars and commercial vehicles in just a few years”, said Jon Williams, General Manager of Ford Blue and Model e, Europe. “The Puma Gen-E, the E-Tourneo Courier, and the E-Transit Courier further enhance our range of electric vehicles, providing options that cater to both private customers and businesses, bringing the benefits of electric mobility to an even broader audience.”
