Filho de ex-campeão de Fórmula Um com fortuna de $600 milhões não incluído em nenhuma equipe para possível retorno em 2025.

Mick Schumacher, son of Michael Schumacher, who was previously crowned Formula 2 champion in 2020, is facing challenges in his attempt to return to Formula 1 after a disappointing period with Haas. After his stint with Haas in 2022, the 24-year-old driver was forced to leave the sport and spent a year on the sidelines. Now, it seems that Schumacher’s return to the racing grid may not happen anytime soon.

Despite not being listed for any Formula 1 team in 2025, including his current employers Mercedes and Alpine, Mick Schumacher has taken on a reserve role at Mercedes and has also joined Alpine’s Hypercar program in the World Endurance Championship for 2024. However, Schumacher has expressed his desire to make a comeback in Formula 1, potentially even replacing Lewis Hamilton in Brackley.

Reports indicate that Mick Schumacher will be working in the Mercedes simulator, with a specific focus on his Formula 1 responsibilities in relation to the Alpine WEC program. Schumacher has made it clear that his ultimate goal is to return to Formula 1 as a full-time driver, but at the moment it seems that he may not have any viable options.

Team Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has praised Schumacher on several occasions and reportedly tried to secure a seat for him at Williams in 2024. However, Williams decided to retain their current driver, Logan Sargeant, who is part of their driver academy.

With Lewis Hamilton’s surprising move to Ferrari, Mercedes now needs a driver for 2025. Although Schumacher may not be a contender for that seat, there is a possibility of Wolff finding a place for him at Williams if the team hires Alex Albon for the upcoming season.

It remains to be seen if Mick Schumacher will find a place in Formula 1 in 2025. Currently, the German driver is fully focused on his campaign with Alpine’s Hypercar. However, he is open to the opportunity of a return to Formula 1 if it arises in the near future.
