In the spotlight of NASCAR, Kyle Busch is a figure who either ignites adoration or aversion among fans. Regardless of the sentiments, he undeniably captivates the attention of all. With a proud legacy punctuated by two Cup Series titles and a remarkable 63 career victories, Busch has solidified his reputation as one of the most skilled and candid drivers in the sport. His unabashed honesty, often misconstrued as arrogance by detractors, is viewed by his loyal fans as a refreshing repudiation of pretense. Busch continually recognizes the unwavering support from his fans.

Just a few weeks prior, Busch reflected fondly on his dedicated followers. He’s been known to engage with his fans in diverse ways, from signing autographs and tossing his renowned “Rowdy” merch into crowds, to interacting with supporters online. In a latest move to connect with his fanbase, Busch has partnered with Rebel Bourbon to unveil the Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel Bourbon, coinciding with the third race of the season.

This bourbon is far from ordinary. Each barrel was meticulously chosen by Busch himself, ensuring a unique drinking experience for his fans. The smooth, subtly spiced bourbon is an apt reflection of Busch’s fiery personality. In the lead-up to the COTA race, Busch took his fan engagement up a notch with a special appearance in the Lone Star State.

As the revamped Circuit of the Americas gears up for its inaugural NASCAR race, Busch carved out time to mingle with his admirers. To hype the special bourbon release, Busch graced the aisles of Spec’s, a colossal liquor store in Texas, renowned for its vast selection and in-house deli. Fans flocked to the venue for a chance to meet Busch, get his autograph, and snag a bottle of the exclusive bourbon.

The event caught the attention of NASCAR insider Jeff Gluck, who took to social media to share snapshots of Busch stationed beside the bottles of his latest venture.

The limited-edition bourbon is a collaboration between Rebel Bourbon, based in Bardstown, Kentucky, and Busch. The Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel Bourbon was hand-picked by Busch, ensuring each bottle meets his exacting standards. The bourbon, aged for four years and bottled at 108 proof, is a tribute to Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet. Each bottle is graced with Busch’s autograph and the RCR logo.

Busch aimed to create a bourbon that mirrors his character: bold, smooth, and intriguing. The final product is a whiskey with a silky finish and a touch of spice, perfect for savoring during a race. Philip Lux, Rebel Bourbon’s brand manager, lauded the venture as a unique endeavor in the spirit of rebellion and individuality.

With only 5,000 cases available nationwide, this bourbon is a collector’s item for dedicated fans. The 750ml bottle retails at $40, making it an affordable and rare memento for NASCAR and bourbon enthusiasts alike. It’s significant that Busch will be racing the No. 8 Rebel Bourbon Chevrolet at COTA. Fans can relish a glass of Busch’s hand-selected bourbon while watching him compete.

However, Busch has expressed reservations about the COTA track’s recent modifications. Traditionally, COTA has been one of NASCAR’s most challenging road courses. This year, NASCAR has decided to shorten the layout, cutting out a key section between Turn 7 and Turn 11. This alteration reduces the track length from 3.41 miles to 2.40 miles and increases the total laps from 68 to 95. Busch, expressing his concerns before the Saturday qualifying session, believes this could result in a more aggressive racing style akin to Martinsville.

The previous COTA layout was one of NASCAR’s longest tracks. The recent changes aim to level the playing field for all drivers. Shane van Gisbergen is the only driver who has raced on a shorter layout at COTA, having previously participated in a V8 Supercars race with Trackhouse Racing.
