In an amusing turn of events, NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney’s escapade into the world of wrestling has stirred up the wrestling and racing communities alike. The incident took place during a promotional tour for the upcoming NASCAR race in Mexico City at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Notably, Blaney wasn’t alone in this adventure; fellow racers Christopher Bell, Daniel Suarez, and Chase Elliott were also present.

Blaney, known for his fondness for the wrestling world, took the opportunity to step into the ring. The Team Penske driver has previously been seen alongside WWE icon Triple H and even hosted Rey Mysterio in his podcast, Glass Case of Emotion. Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise when the driver of the No. 12 Ford Mustang tried his hand at wrestling, donning a mask and attempting some moves on the stage.

However, things took a hilarious turn when Blaney, after successfully running off the first rope, fell flat on his back after hitting the second. Fans were quick to react with humor, attributing the incident to the invisible wrestling prowess of WWE Superstar John Cena, despite the star not being remotely involved in the event.

Joining in the laughter, Blaney uploaded the video of his wrestling attempt on social media with a tongue-in-cheek comment, “Can’t believe they edited out the Luchador that laid me out….”

Adding to the spectacle, Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez also stepped into the ring against Blaney, ending in a body slam of the 2023 Cup Series champion. This playful encounter was all in good fun, with both drivers sharing a laugh afterward. Suárez posted about the incident on social media, humorously captioning the image, “From burnouts to body slams.”

Away from the wrestling ring, Blaney, Suarez, Bell, and Elliott took some time out to visit the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the venue for June’s inaugural Cup Series race. This marks a historic moment, as it is the first time NASCAR will host a points-paying event outside the United States since 1958.

With the wrestling episode behind him, Blaney will now shift his focus to the upcoming race at the newly renovated Circuit of the Americas. As the NASCAR season is in full swing, fans are eagerly awaiting the competitive showdown on the track, even as they continue to jest about Cena’s alleged role in Blaney’s wrestling mishap.

John Cena, known for his catchphrase “You can’t see me,” unknowingly found himself at the center of numerous fan theories and jokes about Blaney’s wrestling incident. Fans creatively manipulated Cena’s famous phrase, suggesting that the WWE superstar was the invisible force that caused Blaney to tumble. Despite the humorous accusations, it’s clear that Blaney’s Mexican wrestling adventure was a memorable one, and he’s looking forward to the next challenge on the racetrack.

As the drivers prepare for their next race in Austin, Texas, it’s evident that the competitive spirit isn’t confined to the track, and the fun and camaraderie off it are equally exciting. Whether it’s in the wrestling ring or behind the wheel, these racers know how to put on a show.
