Chefe de equipe da F1, conhecido por linguagem chula em documentário da Netflix, fará retorno ao mundo das corridas.

Guenther Steiner, former Haas team boss, is set to make an unexpected return to the Formula 1 paddock as a race commentator for a German broadcaster. Steiner’s move to the commentary role is significant considering his recent departure from the team. It will be interesting to see how Steiner’s relationship with the Haas team evolves during his time as a commentator.

Steiner gained fame through the Formula 1 series “Drive to Survive” on Netflix, where his passionate language and behind-the-scenes outbursts won him a large fan base. In the 2024 Formula 1 season, Steiner will be involved in seven Grand Prix races as part of the German broadcaster RTL. These races include the Bahrain GP, Hungarian GP, Belgian GP, Dutch GP, Imola GP, Azerbaijan GP, and Las Vegas GP.

The Italian expressed his happiness with this new career choice. Steiner has previous experience as a commentator, having been in the Fox Sports booth for the coverage of the 2023 NASCAR Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. He learned valuable lessons from that experience that he can apply to his new role.

According to team principal Ayao Komatsu, Haas has completed pre-season testing ahead of schedule and has a car that could be more competitive in races than initially expected. Haas had a challenging season in 2023, finishing last in the constructors’ championship.

Although Haas has shown good pace in qualifying, they have faced difficulties during races. Komatsu, who took over from Guenther Steiner during the offseason, had warned that the start of this year could be tough. However, after witnessing the car’s performance on track, they are now more optimistic about the start of the season.

Haas Formula 1 is still at the back of the grid and is striving to move up. The last time Haas surprised everyone was when they secured pole position at the 2022 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. It was a moment that shocked the entire Formula 1 world. We will have to wait and see how the 2024 season unfolds for Haas.
