Horner seen with Red Bull in Bahrain during F1 testing.

Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, was joined by Adrian Newey, the team’s chief technology officer, as Max Verstappen tested the team’s new car during the morning session on Wednesday. This marks the start of Verstappen’s quest for a fourth consecutive world championship.

On February 5th, Red Bull’s parent company launched an investigation into allegations of misconduct towards a team employee. Horner has strongly denied any wrongdoing and has continued to carry out his duties as team principal while the investigation is ongoing.

Preseason testing will take place over three days, starting from Wednesday and concluding on Friday, leading up to the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix at the same venue next week.

Red Bull had a strong start to their season with their new RB20 car, setting the standard during the initial morning of F1 testing at Bahrain International Circuit. Max Verstappen topped the timing charts after the first four hours, finishing seven-tenths of a second ahead of Charles Leclerc in the new Ferrari SF24.

Despite reports of a significant divide between Horner and Red Bull headquarters in Austria, the team principal has denied the allegations. Currently, it is business as usual for the 50-year-old who is under scrutiny.

Horner has been at the helm of Red Bull since the team entered Formula 1 as a constructor in 2005, making him the longest-serving team principal. Under his leadership, the team has secured 13 F1 titles and 113 victories.
