Rede Mobi.E alcança em agosto novo recorde de carregamentos

The MOBI.E and the Administration of the Port of Lisbon (APL) have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at developing and implementing a charging infrastructure for light and heavy electric vehicles in the facilities managed by APL.

For MOBI.E, the establishment of this partnership for the electric mobility manager is “a new form of collaboration framed within its strategy to contribute to the development of sustainable mobility in Portugal”, supporting, this time, APL’s commitment to “promoting innovative and sustainable solutions” in all dimensions of its activity, having defined “goals for progressive increase of the electric fleet and chargers in buildings, but also at the port activity level, where it is intended to modernize road freight transport, minimizing combustion and its carbon footprint”.

“This is a way for MOBI.E to contribute to the growth of sustainable mobility by establishing protocols that seek to respond to specific needs, such as the case of the Port of Lisbon and the transport of heavy goods vehicles,” highlighted Luís Barroso, president of MOBI.E, in a statement.

It should be noted that the study presented by MOBI.E in 2023 predicts that by 2050, an electric charging infrastructure of around 1600 points for heavy vehicles will be necessary in Portugal, with an estimated investment of € 126 million.
