In a game-changing move, the NTT IndyCar Series has announced a robust international expansion for the 2025 season, propelling the championship into more than 200 countries and territories. With new partnerships and strengthened media relationships, the high-octane world of IndyCar racing is set to captivate fans across the globe like never before.

In what promises to be a revolutionary season, the NTT IndyCar Series has partnered with top-tier broadcasters, bringing live coverage of the thrilling races to audiences far and wide. The addition of fresh media relationships across major markets is a testament to IndyCar’s rising popularity, marking the series as one of the most competitive and widely recognized racing spectacles on the planet. From Germany to Brazil, and everywhere in between, fans can now enjoy every lap, every pass, and every moment of the action.

A New Era of Global Accessibility for IndyCar Fans

INDYCAR LIVE, the series’ direct-to-consumer streaming service, will continue to play a pivotal role, offering exclusive access to live practice, qualifying, and races. For regions without a dedicated international partner, INDYCAR LIVE will be the go-to platform for fans to follow the full schedule, including race highlights, in-car camera streams, and behind-the-scenes content. This service guarantees that no fan, no matter where they are in the world, will miss a second of the action.

Mark Miles, President and CEO of Penske Entertainment, expressed his excitement over the global expansion, saying, “The continued growth and appeal of the NTT IndyCar Series is reflected in this expansion of our international partners and coverage offerings. It is gratifying to see this impactful list of new and renewed partners as the NTT IndyCar Series reaches larger audiences around the globe.”

With 11 nations represented by a full-time driver lineup of 27 stars, IndyCar’s expanding international presence underscores the importance of access and availability for fans across the world.

Key Partnerships for 2025: A Truly Global Coverage

The list of new and returning broadcasting partners for the 2025 season is nothing short of impressive, bringing IndyCar’s electrifying action to millions of new fans in various regions.

  • Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: A new partnership with Motorvision+ will bring live coverage of the NTT IndyCar Series to German-speaking markets, further solidifying IndyCar’s presence in Europe.
  • Sub-Saharan Africa: ESPN takes on a major role as IndyCar’s partner in the region, adding race highlights and live coverage of the Indianapolis 500, one of the most prestigious events in motorsport.
  • Spain: A partnership with #Vamos and Movistar+ ensures that fans of reigning series champion Alex Palou will enjoy live coverage of every race, marking a milestone for the Spanish market.
  • The Nordics: Viaplay continues to be a key broadcaster in the region, following Swedish drivers Marcus Ericsson and Felix Rosenqvist, as well as Danish drivers Christian Lundgaard and Christian Rasmussen.
  • Canada: TSN continues to provide extensive coverage, streaming IndyCar races live and broadcasting key events like the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto. The Canadian fanbase will also get to follow Devlin DeFrancesco as he returns to the series in 2025.
  • New Zealand and Australia: Sky Sport New Zealand continues to cover the impressive lineup of Kiwi drivers Scott Dixon, Marcus Armstrong, and Scott McLaughlin, while Will Power’s Aussie fans can follow his journey via STAN Sport.

But it doesn’t stop there – the IndyCar Series will also be broadcast on Sky Group’s platforms in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, while Ziggo Sport will carry the action in the Netherlands for fans of Rinus VeeKay.

Additional key markets in Latin America, Japan, Turkey, and more will also enjoy consistent coverage, ensuring that no corner of the globe is left untouched.

A Champion’s Perspective: Growing IndyCar’s Global Fanbase

As drivers like Pato O’Ward, Alex Palou, and Marcus Ericsson prepare to hit the tracks in 2025, they’re fully aware of the global reach IndyCar now enjoys. Pato O’Ward, in particular, shared his excitement for the sport’s expanding reach, remembering his childhood days in Mexico watching his racing heroes on TV. “The international coverage and partnerships are so important because they bring the sport around the world and help grow IndyCar,” O’Ward commented.

Alex Palou, the defending champion, echoed this sentiment, looking forward to the expanded exposure in Spain. “It’s exciting that the NTT IndyCar Series will have more exposure for fans in Spain with races live on #Vamos and Movistar+. I hope they watch as I fight for another championship this season,” Palou said.

The Growing Power of IndyCar

This global expansion signals not just a rise in viewership but a strengthening of IndyCar’s place among the world’s premier motorsports series. With the added media relationships, the series will no longer be confined to a niche audience but will become a household name in markets where motorsports have long been dominated by other forms of racing.

As 2025 promises to deliver yet another thrilling season of intense competition, fans worldwide will be watching as IndyCar continues to grow in prominence and expand its ever-growing global fanbase. From the crowded streets of Toronto to the high-speed straights of Indianapolis, fans are in for a wild ride.
