VIDEO – McLaren Unveils MCL39 Livery for 2025 Formula 1 Season

McLaren has unveiled the livery for its MCL39, the car that will compete in the 2025 Formula 1 season, retaining the same design that helped the team clinch the 2024 Constructors’ Championship. The Woking-based squad revealed the livery at the F1 75 season launch event at London’s O2 Arena, alongside all the other teams.

Continuing Success with MCL39 After a dominant 2024 campaign with the MCL38, McLaren remains a team to beat. The MCL38 quickly became a benchmark for the sport, and while the MCL39 carries forward the successful elements of its predecessor, the team has promised to introduce some ambitious innovations for the 2025 season, aiming to continue its rise to the top. McLaren is pushing hard to retain its Constructors’ Championship and mount a stronger challenge for the Drivers’ Championship, which slipped through their fingers in 2024 to Max Verstappen after an early-season Red Bull dominance.

Unchanged Line-Up and Leadership McLaren enters 2025 with the same driver pairing of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, making it one of the few teams with no driver changes alongside Aston Martin. Lando Norris, who finished as the runner-up in the Drivers’ Championship in 2024 with four race wins, is determined to go one step further in his pursuit of the title. Oscar Piastri, who secured his first-ever F1 race victory in 2024, is eager to continue his progress and mount his own title challenge in what will be his third season in Formula 1.

Andrea Stella’s Continued Leadership Team principal Andrea Stella remains at the helm of McLaren, following the monumental turnaround he orchestrated that ended the team’s lengthy title drought. Under his leadership, McLaren has returned to the front of the grid, and with a new multi-term deal in place for Stella, the team is set to continue its upward trajectory in 2025.

With a solid driver line-up and a commitment to innovation, McLaren is looking forward to another competitive season, aiming to build on the momentum from a successful 2024 and challenge for both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles in 2025.
