Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec estabelece novo recorde de volta mais rápida

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec has set a new record for the fastest lap time for an electric vehicle at the Tsukuba Circuit in Japan.

The competition variant of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which already won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2024 in its category, completed a lap of the Japanese track during a sporting event, Attack Tsukuba, in 57.446 seconds.

This result surpassed the time of the nearest 100% electric competitor by nearly two seconds, even though the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec primarily uses production components in fundamental systems such as the motors, electric battery, and electronic management.

It is worth noting that the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec was designed to showcase the strengths of the 100% electric production model without significant modifications, thereby retaining the high-performance power electronic management system similar to that used in the production vehicle. Through software tuning, the maximum power of the TA Spec was increased to 687 hp, with the rear motor power boosted by 37 hp compared to the standard Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

“The record achieved is a clear demonstration of Hyundai’s commitment to advancing electric vehicle technologies and exceptional performance,” stated Joon Park, Director of the N Management Group. “The new record of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec, which primarily uses production components, is not only a significant milestone that validates Hyundai Motor Group’s technological advancements but also showcases Hyundai N’s dedication to introducing high-performance EVs into the global automotive culture through events like Attack Tsukuba.”
