Leclerc explains why he chose to stick with Ferrari for the future, pointing to their better car potential.

Charles Leclerc has finally disclosed the specifics of his thoughts when he inked a long-term agreement with Ferrari, which seems to have no specified end date.

Before the news of Leclerc’s multi-year contract with Ferrari surprised the Formula 1 world, he made headlines for his new deal with the Scuderia. The Monegasque driver, who initially debuted with the team in 2019, has been hailed as Ferrari’s best opportunity at clinching the World Championship.

Ferrari has demonstrated their dedication to Charles Leclerc by extending his contract, which was originally set to expire in 2024, even before the commencement of the season. The duration of the new contract has not been specified, suggesting that it may be an indefinite agreement, a first for Formula 1. This has prompted many to question why Leclerc opted to sign such a lengthy contract with Ferrari, and he has provided an explanation.

With a successful track record in junior categories, including winning the FIA Formula 2 Championship, Charles Leclerc is regarded as one of the most gifted drivers of his generation. He is ambitious and eager to secure the World Championship, and he believes his best chance of achieving this feat is with Ferrari.

Despite his hectic schedule as a Ferrari driver, traveling to various locations worldwide for F1 Grands Prix, Leclerc has managed to pursue his passion for playing the piano. Last year, he released three recordings on Spotify, which garnered significant attention and popularity.

In response to the demand from his fans, Leclerc has chosen to release more music. During the post-2013 season break, he collaborated with renowned French pianist Sofiane Permane. The outcome of their collaboration is a mesmerizing EP titled ‘The Dreamer’, featuring four songs.

Leclerc’s foray into the music industry has already proven successful, with his three songs – AUS23, MIA23, and MON23 – becoming chart-toppers on Spotify. It is expected that his new EP will also achieve substantial sales. While retirement may not be an immediate consideration for Leclerc, he will have numerous passions to pursue once he decides to bid farewell to Formula 1.
