The Ford Pro Ranger is celebrating a decade of leadership in Europe, having recorded in 2024 a consecutive decade as the best-selling model in its segment.
In a statement, the blue oval brand notes that the Ranger accounted for nearly half of all pickup sales in Europe in 2024, achieving a market share of 43.6% in its segment, marking an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to the previous year, with shares reaching up to 54.2% and growth of up to 18.6 percentage points in individual markets.
Last year, Ford Pro sold 60,400 units of the Ranger across the region, representing a 4% increase compared to 2023, with Ford’s pickup accounting for more than half of all pickup sales in four European markets: Ireland (54.2%), Germany (53.9%), Great Britain (52.4%), and Belgium (50.1%).

Other markets also recorded significant share growth in this segment compared to the previous year, including Poland (18.6%), Spain (9.3%), Norway (6.1%), Great Britain (5.3%), and Italy (3.4%).
It should be noted that Ford strengthened its popular pickup range in 2024 with the arrival of the new Ranger plug-in hybrid, which features a 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine that, together with a 100 hp electric motor, delivers a combined power of 279 hp and a maximum torque of 690 Nm.

The electric motor is powered by an 11.8 kWh usable capacity battery and allows for a range of over 43 km in 100% electric mode.
“The decade in which the Ranger is Europe’s favorite pickup has been built on a deep understanding of our customers and how they use their vehicles, and our new Ranger PHEV will utilize electric power to elevate the pickup experience to a new level”, said Hans Schep, General Manager of Ford Pro Europe.
