Veloce Sparks a Revolution: First Team to Enter Groundbreaking Hydrogen Racing Series

The future of motorsport is here, and Veloce is leading the charge. The British powerhouse has become the first team to officially commit to the FIA Extreme H World Cup, the world’s first hydrogen-powered racing series, marking a seismic shift in the evolution of sustainable motorsport.

Veloce, a dominant force in Extreme E, is no stranger to making history. The team led the 2024 Extreme E season before it was abruptly cut short, leaving their title bid unresolved. Now, they’re taking their winning DNA into uncharted territory, pioneering hydrogen-fueled racing in a bold move that could redefine the sport’s landscape.

From Electric to Hydrogen: A Game-Changing Move

Veloce’s decision to transition from Extreme E to Extreme H isn’t just about competition—it’s about rewriting the future of clean racing. Having claimed multiple victories and legacy milestones in Extreme E, the team is doubling down on its commitment to high-performance racing with an environmental edge.

“Extreme E was an incredible platform for driving awareness around climate change and sustainability,” said Daniel Bailey, CEO of Veloce Media Group and E.ON Next Veloce Racing. “But Extreme H takes that mission even further. It’s not just about education—it’s about showing that hydrogen is a serious contender for the future of automotive innovation.”

Veloce’s entry into the FIA-sanctioned Extreme H World Cup couldn’t come at a more crucial moment. With Spark Racing Technology completing its first batch of Pioneer 25 hydrogen race cars, the stage is set for motorsport’s next evolution—and Veloce is planting its flag at the forefront of the revolution.

Veloce Takes Center Stage as Rivals Exit

The announcement also sends shockwaves through the motorsport world, especially as one of its fiercest competitors, Rosberg X Racing, has opted out of the hydrogen era. With RXR—a two-time Extreme E champion—stepping away, Veloce’s decision to embrace the challenge cements its role as a trailblazer in sustainable motorsport.

Extreme H founder and CEO Alejandro Agag hailed Veloce’s move as a defining moment for the series:

“Veloce has been a constant force in Extreme E, not just with their on-track dominance but also in their commitment to gender equality and clean technology innovation. Their decision to enter Extreme H is a major milestone for the championship.”

The Hydrogen Era Begins Now

With Veloce leading the charge, the countdown to the Extreme H World Cup’s inaugural season is officially on. The shift from electric to hydrogen isn’t just a technological evolution—it’s a statement about the future of motorsport, energy, and the environment.

As the racing world watches, one thing is certain: Veloce isn’t just competing—they’re making history.
