Formula 1 is finally heading to Hollywood, and the first teaser for the highly anticipated Brad Pitt-led F1 movie has just been unveiled—offering a glimpse into the high-speed, adrenaline-fueled spectacle that awaits fans in 2025.

Set to premiere on June 25, 2025, the film, simply titled F1, stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Grand Prix driver pulled out of retirement to race for the fictional APXGP team, while also mentoring young rising star Joshua Pierce, played by Damson Idris.

Produced by the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun: Maverick) and directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film aims to bring unparalleled realism to the racing world—featuring footage filmed at actual Grand Prix weekends with modified F2 cars driven by Pitt and Idris themselves.

The film is being made in close collaboration with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, whose production company, Dawn Apollo Films, is co-producing the project.

Hamilton has been heavily involved in ensuring the film accurately represents the sport, giving input on driving techniques, race sequences, and the culture inside the paddock.

In a previous interview, Hamilton emphasized his commitment to making the film as true-to-life as possible:

“We want to capture the essence of what it’s like to be a driver in the most competitive motorsport in the world. We’re making something that will immerse fans like never before.”
