The 2025 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS just got a major boost, as Racers Edge Motorsports has officially announced its entry with a Pro-Am class Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo. Behind the wheel? SRO America veteran Jason Bell and IMSA winner Michael Cooper, a formidable pairing ready to shake up the field.
This entry further cements Racers Edge Motorsports’ growing partnership with Aston Martin Racing, as the team looks to establish itself as a force in GT3 competition.
Jason Bell: Stepping Up to GT3 Full-Time
For Jason Bell, this move marks a major step in his already decorated career. Bell, who has taken championship wins in the SRO America GT4 series in 2021 and 2023, is now setting his sights on success in GT3 machinery.
“I’m excited to announce my move to Racers Edge Motorsports for the 2025 season, where we will be competing in the full GT World Challenge America season in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, adding on the GT America races at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.” – Jason Bell
Bell’s connection with Racers Edge dates back to 2017, when he claimed his first victory at VIR with the team. Now, after seven successful years in GT4, including two championships with Aston Martin Racing, Bell is ready to compete on one of GT racing’s biggest stages.
Michael Cooper: The Perfect Teammate
Joining Bell is Silver-rated driver Michael Cooper, a proven champion across multiple disciplines. Cooper’s resume speaks for itself:
✅ Winner – 2022 Rolex 24 At Daytona (LMP3)
✅ Champion – 2020 SRO America GT4 Pro Series (11 wins)
✅ Winner – 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge four-hour Daytona season opener
✅ Champion – 2017 GT3 Sprint-X Pro/Pro Championship
✅ Champion – 2015 GTS Drivers’ Championship (Pirelli World Challenge)
“I’m really excited to get back into GT World Challenge America with Jason Bell and Racers Edge Motorsports,” said Cooper.
The duo already has a strong history together, with Cooper serving as Bell’s coach and occasional co-driver in 2023 GT4 America competition, where they proved to be highly competitive.
“Jason made the jump to GT3 last year, got his feet wet, and now we are diving head-first into the big races in SRO America,” Cooper added.
Racers Edge Motorsports & Aston Martin: A Growing Alliance
This move marks another milestone in Racers Edge Motorsports’ expanding relationship with Aston Martin Racing. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo has already shown promise in international GT racing, and with the combined experience and chemistry of Bell and Cooper, this team could be a dark horse in the 2025 GT World Challenge America season.
With highly competitive GT3 grids, a stacked Pro-Am field, and the prestige of representing Aston Martin, Bell and Cooper are set for a high-stakes season.
