Alpine is working to launch a new performance model that will hit the market later this year, after unveiling at the 2024 Paris Motor Show the A390_β, the concept car for the future A390.
The new sporty fastback from the Dieppe brand has been “spotted” again during testing ahead of its debut, and the images recently revealed by “MotorAuthority” show that the new 100% electric model from Alpine features a design that seems to include daytime running lights and a separate headlight setup, aerodynamic-shaped wheels, and a light strip that appears to connect the rear lights.

What seems certain is that the antagonistic opening of the four side doors and the absence of a central pillar, which Alpine showcased in the A390_β concept, will not be part of the production version.
Everything points to the new A390 making use of a dedicated EV platform from the Alliance, the same one used by the Renault Mégane E-Tech and the Nissan Ariya, which was recently utilized in the Ariya Nismo with 429 hp of power.
The new A390 will join Alpine’s 100% electric Dream Garage, alongside the A290, the electric hot hatch introduced in June of last year, and it will be produced at the Dieppe factory in France, where Alpine manufactures the sports car A110.
