Kyle Busch Breaks Silence on NASCAR’s Fight Culture Ahead of 2025 Season

Kyle Busch is no stranger to controversy. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, known as “Rowdy”, has been at the center of countless on-track feuds, post-race confrontations, and full-blown fistfights. But as the 2025 season approaches, the Richard Childress Racing driver is looking to turn the page on a winless 2024 campaign and return to victory lane.

Still, with NASCAR heading to Bowman Gray Stadium for the Cook Out Clash, Busch knows his reputation precedes him. And when asked about the possibility of another fight breaking out, he delivered a vintage Rowdy response.

Busch Jokes About NASCAR’s “Fight List” Ahead of the Clash

Last year’s All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro turned into an all-out brawl when Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. reignited their bad blood. Stenhouse wrecked Busch on Lap 1, and Busch retaliated by dumping the No. 47 Chevy the very next lap.

After the race, Stenhouse waited by Busch’s hauler, and after a heated verbal exchange, swung at him, igniting a team-wide melee. The NASCAR world erupted, and Stenhouse was handed a $75,000 fine for instigating the fight.

With the Clash at Bowman Gray—famously known as “The Madhouse”—looming, veteran journalist Jenna Fryer couldn’t resist asking Busch if another fight was on the horizon.

Busch’s response? Pure comedic gold.

“We were already called into the NASCAR Hauler and given a list of who’s supposed to fight who…,” Busch said with a smirk.

Classic Rowdy.

Busch’s History of NASCAR Brawls: A Who’s Who of His Greatest Hits

It’s no secret why Busch was asked the question. His career has been littered with high-profile feuds, and he’s had run-ins with some of the sport’s biggest names.

🚨 2011 – Busch vs. Kevin Harvick (Martinsville Speedway, Truck Series)
After Harvick bumped Busch to take the lead, Busch retaliated during the cool-down lap, leading to a physical confrontation on pit road. Harvick threw a punch, and chaos ensued.

🚨 2013 – Busch vs. Brad Keselowski (Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nationwide Series)
Fighting for the win, Busch and Keselowski made contact multiple times, leading to heated words and a shoving match between their crews post-race.

🚨 2017 – Busch vs. Joey Logano (Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Cup Series)
This was the rare fight where Busch didn’t walk away unscathed. After a hard racing incident with Logano, Busch stormed down pit road and threw a punch—but the Penske crew swarmed him, and Busch walked away with a bleeding forehead.

These are just a few of the countless run-ins Busch has had over his two-decade NASCAR career.

Can Rowdy Keep His Cool in 2025?

At 39 years old, Busch knows his days as NASCAR’s ultimate bad boy are numbered. But after a disastrous 2024 season that saw him go winless for the first time in 19 years, he’s laser-focused on getting back to Victory Lane.

The Clash at Bowman Gray might be the first true test—can Busch stay out of trouble, or will his aggressive driving style land him in yet another brawl?

One thing is certain: If fists start flying, don’t be surprised if Rowdy is right in the middle of it.
