Verstappen thinking about switching to Ferrari: Anything can happen

In a recent interview, Max Verstappen, the pole position qualifier from the Netherlands and Oracle Red Bull Racing, expressed his thoughts on the possibility of driving for Ferrari in the future. Verstappen’s remarks highlight the fact that every Formula 1 driver, at some point in their career, whether it be at the beginning, middle, or end, aspires to compete for Ferrari. On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton falls into a different category.

Currently, Verstappen is enjoying a period of dominance with Red Bull, having already secured his third F1 Title and aiming for a fourth in 2024. As a result, any speculation about him moving to another team remains uncertain, as the future holds countless possibilities.

During an interview with Motorsport.com, Verstappen was asked about the possibility of joining Ferrari. He responded by stating that he holds Ferrari in high regard, but he is extremely satisfied with his current situation. Verstappen feels comfortable in his current environment and has no intention of making a change at the moment. However, he acknowledges that in life, one should never say never. Verstappen also expressed his desire to explore other opportunities beyond Formula 1.

Furthermore, Verstappen discussed Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari. He mentioned that if someone like Hamilton, who has achieved so much, wants to drive for Ferrari and it’s his dream and goal, it’s difficult to fully understand the discussions and agreements between Mercedes and Ferrari. Verstappen concluded by saying that if Hamilton is happy with the move, he should go for it. Verstappen wishes them success, although it’s impossible to predict the outcome at this moment.

In 2024, Verstappen will begin his ninth season with Red Bull, while Hamilton will start his twelfth and final season with Mercedes.
