RFK Racing is proving yet again why they are not just a force on the NASCAR track but also kings of social media humor. In a laugh-out-loud video posted on their official X page, co-owner and 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski found himself in a comedic showdown with teammate Chris Buescher—over the most unexpected topic: wearing fire suits on public roads.

Keselowski’s unique uniform logic

In the video, Keselowski is seen nonchalantly driving to RFK Racing’s shop in Charlotte, fully decked out in his fire suit. While it might seem odd to the casual observer, Brad insists that this is no quirky whim. It’s a life lesson passed down from his father.
“My dad always told me you should show up to work ready to work,” Keselowski explained. “If you wear a work uniform, you should have it on when you get there. There you go, Dad.”

A wholesome sentiment, no doubt. But, of course, his teammate Chris Buescher wasn’t about to let this slide without a cheeky retort.

Buescher’s theory: Accident prevention or image control?

Buescher hilariously suggested that Keselowski’s fire suit has less to do with “work readiness” and more with safeguarding his public image in case of an accident.
“He’s guarding,” Buescher teased. “Can you imagine getting in an accident with Brad Keselowski? You’re all upset, and then he steps out in a fire suit. How are you going to be mad anymore? He’s just guarding against people getting mad at him in Downtown Charlotte—it’s genius!”

The lighthearted jab struck a nerve (albeit in the most humorous way) with Keselowski, who responded with trademark sarcasm:
“Chris, I’m so thankful for your concern and your words of wisdom. You’re a true pro, you get it, buddy!”

RFK Racing’s dynamic duo showcases winning team chemistry

This hilarious back-and-forth is emblematic of the fun yet productive atmosphere at RFK Racing, a key element that has defined their success during the Next-Gen era. Keselowski’s unique personality, coupled with Buescher’s quick wit, demonstrates the kind of camaraderie that keeps the team both motivated and entertaining to fans.

RFK Racing’s social media strategy also plays a role in keeping fans engaged. By showcasing moments like these, they highlight the human side of the sport while strengthening their brand image.

Big moves for RFK Racing in 2025

With RFK Racing expanding to a three-car team after signing Ryan Preece for the 2025 season, team chemistry will be critical. After a somewhat average 2024 season, RFK will be looking to carry this dynamic energy onto the track to achieve consistent performance.

Fans can only hope that the team’s lighthearted yet focused atmosphere translates into on-track success. If the laughter off the track is any indicator, RFK Racing is poised to bring plenty of excitement in the upcoming NASCAR season.
