Pfaff Motorsports Goes Big: Lamborghini Partnership Ignites 2025 IMSA Dream Team

A Bold New Chapter for Canadian Racing Icons

Pfaff Motorsports, the pride of Canadian racing, has sent shockwaves through the motorsports world with the announcement of its 2025 IMSA season lineup. Partnering with Lamborghini for their debut in the GTD PRO class, Pfaff is going all-in with a star-studded driver roster. The iconic No. 9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 will be piloted by some of the finest talents in endurance racing, setting the stage for an electrifying season.

A Power Duo: Caldarelli and Mapelli Bring the Heat

Leading Pfaff’s charge are Lamborghini Squadra Corse legends Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli. These two aren’t just any drivers—they’re racing royalty. In 2019, they became the first and only pair to conquer the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint, Endurance, and overall titles in a single season, achieving the coveted “SRO Triple Crown.” Now, they’re bringing their chemistry and championship pedigree to IMSA.

“This is a dream come true,” said Caldarelli. “Sharing the car with Marco for the full season is incredible. IMSA has always been on our bucket list, and with Pfaff Motorsports, we have the perfect platform to push for victories right out of the gate.”

Mapelli echoed the excitement, calling Pfaff a “proper team with an absolute reputation and incredible dedication.” With Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s full support, the duo is poised to make a serious impact on the GTD PRO class.

Adding Firepower: Pepper and Hinchcliffe Round Out the Squad

The team isn’t stopping there. Jordan Pepper, a seasoned Lamborghini driver, will join the lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, bringing a wealth of experience and a burning desire to claim victory. Having raced alongside Caldarelli in multiple championships, Pepper’s familiarity with his teammates could be a game-changer.

Then there’s James Hinchcliffe, the Canadian racing icon and fan favorite. Known for his charisma and skill, Hinchcliffe returns as Pfaff’s Michelin Endurance Cup driver. Fresh off his role as an IndyCar broadcaster, Hinchcliffe is hungry to prove himself once again in the cockpit.

“It’s awesome to be back with Pfaff for the enduros,” Hinchcliffe shared. “Learning a new car is always a challenge, but if there’s a team that can tackle it, it’s this one. Racing against the Lamborghini last year, I know it’s a top-tier car that can absolutely deliver.”

Roaring into Daytona: The Stage Is Set

The No. 9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 has already made a statement, with Caldarelli clocking the fastest GTD PRO time during the Roar Before The 24 tests and Mapelli not far behind. This early success has only fueled the anticipation for what Pfaff Motorsports can achieve in their inaugural GTD PRO campaign.

The team faces a steep learning curve with a new car, but Pfaff is no stranger to defying expectations. With a roster brimming with talent, experience, and determination, they’re not just aiming to compete—they’re aiming to dominate.

A High-Stakes Season Ahead

As the 2025 IMSA season kicks off, all eyes will be on Pfaff Motorsports. Their ambitious leap into the GTD PRO class with Lamborghini signals a clear intent: to cement their legacy as one of the most formidable teams in endurance racing.

With Caldarelli, Mapelli, Pepper, and Hinchcliffe at the helm, Pfaff isn’t just chasing podiums—they’re chasing greatness.
