Alpina B8 GT um Série 8 Gran Coupé com 643 cv

The Alpina, purchased by BMW in 2022, is celebrating its 60th anniversary in a year that will be marked by the end of vehicle preparations, as it transitions to operate solely in the business of selling parts and accessories starting in 2026.

Before saying goodbye to its more radical preparations of BMW models, Alpina decided to update the B8 GT, a model based on the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé, which Alpina has transformed into a true “monster” of the asphalt, surpassing the “M” version, thanks to the most powerful engine Alpina has ever built.

The technicians from the Buchloe brand have enhanced the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 to deliver a power output of 643 hp, which is 8 hp more than the “normal” B8 and 18 hp more than the BMW M8. Additionally, the maximum torque is 850 Nm, which is 50 Nm more than the B8 and 100 Nm more than the M8.

In this way, Alpina announces that the B8 GT is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.

The German preparer also revealed that it has enhanced the all-wheel-drive system and the electronic differential of the Series 8 to allow for more power to be sent to the rear wheels, improving the agility of this B8 GT without compromising comfort.

The external details that differentiate this GT from other Series 8 models include a diffuser, air intakes, and carbon fiber fins, along with 21-inch forged wheels featuring aluminum central locking nuts.

Inside, there are several references to the founder of Alpina, Burkard Bovensiepen, as his signature is embroidered on the front seats and appears along the illuminated door sills, complemented by Merino leather upholstery.

Alpina will produce only 99 units of this B8 GT, each starting at a price of €225,000.
