Aston Martin Vantage Roadster chega com 665 cv

Aston Martin has just unveiled the Roadster version of the Vantage, which features the same updated 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the Coupé, delivering 665 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque.

As a result, the new Vantage Roadster is 155 hp and 115 Nm more powerful than its predecessor and comes with nearly as much power as the old DB12 Volante. This increased power is achieved through the use of larger turbochargers, as well as a revision of the camshaft profiles and optimizations in the compression ratio.

The powerful V8 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear axle through an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. Thus, the new Vantage Roadster boasts a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h.

Like all convertibles, this Vantage is also heavier than its Coupe version, adding an extra 60 kg. However, the engineers at the British brand have managed to achieve a weight distribution of 49:51 between the front and rear axles. Additionally, the Vantage Roadster is equipped with a front double-wishbone suspension and utilizes a multi-link setup at the rear.

Aston Martin has also equipped its new convertible with Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a traction control system with eight levels of adjustment, allowing drivers to tailor their driving experience to different conditions.

It is also worth noting that the roof takes 6.8 seconds to open or close at speeds of up to 50 km/h, which Aston Martin refers to as “the fastest automatic roof mechanism on the market.” Furthermore, the automatic roof system allows for opening and closing to be performed remotely via the key fob.

The British brand also announced that all models of the Vantage Roadster come standard with an 11-speaker audio system, which can optionally be developed by Bowers & Wilkins.

Aston Martin also announced that the first deliveries of the new Vantage Roadster are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
