Mazda6 renasce elétrico e com  autonomia até 552 km

Mazda unveiled the new Mazda6e at the Brussels Motor Show this Friday, a 5-door hatchback with fast charging, which becomes the latest 100 percent electric addition to the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup.

Available with two powertrain options to suit different driving preferences, the Mazda6e is equipped with an electric motor that delivers 258 hp and is powered by a 68.8 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 479 km. With a 200 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes, adding 235 km of range in 15 minutes.

For those who prefer uninterrupted long-distance driving, a Long Range version of the Mazda6e is available, equipped with an 80 kWh battery that allows for a range of up to 552 km, paired with a 245 hp electric motor.

Both configurations deliver 320 Nm of torque, rear-wheel drive, and promise an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 170 and 175 km/h, respectively.

Inside, the highlight is the intelligent cockpit focused on the driver, featuring a customizable 14.6’’ touchscreen, a 10.2’’ digital display, and a 50’’ Augmented Reality Head-Up Display that projects important information, such as navigation and speed, directly into the driver’s line of sight.

Additionally, advanced voice and gesture controls simplify interactions with features such as climate control, navigation, and multimedia systems. There is also a note about the SonyPRO audio system, equipped with 14 speakers.

The Mazda6e is available in two trim levels. The Takumi level features artificial leather interiors in Warm Beige or Black, while the Takumi Plus offers premium Tan Nappa leather and Suede, adding an electric curtain in the roof.

The Mazda6e is equipped with an extensive list of driving assistance and safety systems, highlighting nine airbags and Mazda’s Advanced Driving Assistance System, which includes Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, traffic sign recognition, and many other functions that help drivers avoid potential dangers.

Also noteworthy is the new Occupant Monitoring System, which uses an interior camera to detect children in the rear seats, displaying them on the central screen, along with an audible alert that ensures small children are not accidentally left in the vehicle unattended.

Mazda has already revealed that the new 100% electric model will arrive in European markets next summer.
