Xpeng, the Chinese electric vehicle brand leading in Artificial Intelligence mobility and high technology, has now announced the global launch of its latest over-the-air (OTA) software update, XOS 5.4, which is now available in Portuguese.

This update, which has been available since January 2, 2025, brings advanced intelligent driving, enhanced safety features, and personalized experiences for drivers around the world.

With the update, the Xpeng assistant now supports voice control in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Cantonese, and Thai. This expanded language support allows for intuitive interactions with navigation, car controls, and multimedia, making the Xpeng driving experience even more accessible to drivers and passengers around the world.

Another advantage of this update is the “AI Guard” system, which introduces advanced security tools for even greater peace of mind. The Sentinel Mode, for example, monitors and records suspicious activities around the vehicle when it is unoccupied, such as unexpected movements or prolonged presence near the car.

Notifications are sent directly to the user’s Xpeng app, ensuring that users are always informed of potential risks.

In addition, the Driving Recorder feature enhances safety during travel by capturing critical events in real-time and securely storing key images for easier access later.

The intelligent driving capabilities also include Intelligent Speed Limit Recognition, which identifies traffic signs such as “No Entry” and ramp exit signs to promote safer and more informed driving experiences.

Xpeng also revealed that this update includes an improved Custom Operating System 2.0, which features enhancements such as multitasking split-screen functionality and greater flexibility in customizing infotainment layouts with the XDock system.
