James Vowles suggests that Lewis Hamilton will put forth maximum effort while racing for Ferrari.

James Vowles played a crucial role in Lewis Hamilton’s historic achievements with Mercedes before he took on the position of Team Principal at Williams. Vowles and Hamilton will be joining Scuderia Ferrari in 2025, marking a surprising move for the seven-time world champion after his long tenure at Brackley. The Williams Team Principal acknowledges the immense challenge that awaits the 39-year-old at Maranello.

According to Vowles, Hamilton’s decision to switch to the Scuderia will undoubtedly test him. Leaving a comfortable environment to embrace a new challenge is no easy feat, and the Williams team boss recognizes the difficulty of such a move. Hamilton’s departure from the Silver Arrows to join Ferrari is a significant undertaking.

Vowles believes that this ambitious move will push Hamilton to his limits. The 44-year-old is convinced that the seven-time world champion’s decision to join the most successful team in F1 will benefit the sport as a whole. Additionally, Vowles suggests that Hamilton will have the opportunity to learn and challenge himself during his time at Maranello.

Although Lewis Hamilton is the most successful driver in F1 history, he has faced difficulties in the past two seasons, failing to secure any race wins. While he will continue with Mercedes for the upcoming F1 season, it appears that the seven-time world champion is placing his bets on Ferrari for an unprecedented eighth F1 championship.

While Mercedes is diligently working on their 2024 challenger, Hamilton may not be satisfied with the team’s long-term direction. Consequently, the 39-year-old believes that Ferrari may be better positioned than the Silver Arrows to compete for the championship in the coming years. It is worth noting that Hamilton’s deal with Ferrari could be valued at a staggering $430 million.

Undoubtedly, Lewis Hamilton holds a significant place in F1 history. However, as he prepares to join Ferrari next year, the seven-time world champion will need to push himself to the maximum. Fans eagerly await the opportunity to witness the sport’s most successful driver race in the iconic red of Ferrari.
