After announcing that it finished 2024 with over 135,000 units of the SU7 delivered, Xiaomi has now set a new goal for 2025, aiming for sales of 300,000 units.
The forecast made by Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, is based on the brand’s growth in the year the SU7 was launched, which exceeded initial expectations that pointed to sales of 100,000 units.
Lei Jun also revealed that 30% of SU7 sales were made online, without a test drive being conducted. It is worth noting that Xiaomi Auto does not use the traditional dealership model, selling directly to customers, and has opened around 200 spaces in 58 cities in China for this purpose.
Additionally, Xiaomi Auto’s factory in Beijing has an annual production capacity of 150,000 units in the first phase and another 150,000 units after the expansion of the second phase, raising the annual production to 300,000 units.
To strengthen its commitment in 2025, the Chinese brand plans to launch two new models, with the SU7 Ultra, the sporty version of the SU7, expected to be launched next month in March.
The second model to be launched by Xiaomi in 2025 is the YU7, a 100% electric SUV that is expected to hit the Chinese market in the early second half of the year.
