Brad Keselowski Eyes Redemption in 2025 After a Challenging 2024 NASCAR Cup Season

The 2024 NASCAR Cup season didn’t go as planned for Brad Keselowski, and the RFK Racing co-owner and driver is taking a hard look at what went wrong. Coming off a strong 2023 season that marked their best performance in the Next-Gen era, RFK Racing entered 2024 with high hopes. Yet, despite an upgraded Ford alliance and new team additions, the No. 6 Ford Mustang driver found himself falling short of championship expectations.

A Tough Season to Swallow

Keselowski managed to secure a playoff berth and a victory, but the overall season failed to meet the lofty goals set by the team. Reflecting on the year, the 2012 Cup Series champion released a candid review video titled “The Business of Being Brad: The 2024 Season” on his YouTube channel. In it, he broke down the highs and lows of his campaign, pinpointing where things went awry and outlining his plans for a stronger comeback in 2025.

Sharing a snippet of the video on social media platform X, Keselowski captioned:

“This year didn’t always go as planned, but it was a season of learning and growth. I wanted to take a look back at my 2024 NASCAR season—what went right, what didn’t, and how we’re using those lessons to come back stronger in 2025.”

The Highs: April, May, and June

Despite the overall disappointment, Keselowski highlighted some bright spots during the season. He pointed to the stretch from April to June as one of the best of his career. During this period, he secured a win at Darlington, came agonizingly close to winning the Coca-Cola 600, and finished second at Talladega.

“The highs were clearly the months of April, May, and a little bit of June where we contended to win almost every race,” Keselowski explained. “Winning Darlington, almost winning the Coke 600, and just a number of second-place finishes including a near miss at Talladega—that was a really great time for us this season.”

The Lows: Falling Short in the Playoffs

The latter half of the season didn’t sustain the momentum, with RFK Racing unable to maintain consistent top-tier performances. While Keselowski’s teammate, Chris Buescher, also managed a victory, the team fell behind powerhouse organizations like Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing in the playoff hunt.

RFK Racing had entered 2024 aiming to build on their impressive 2023 results, which saw Keselowski and Buescher deliver multiple strong finishes. However, the challenges of maintaining pace across a grueling schedule proved to be a stumbling block.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As Keselowski and RFK Racing turn their attention to 2025, the focus will be on applying the lessons learned from this past season. The team aims to replicate the form they displayed in their strongest months and extend that consistency throughout the year.

“We’re using those lessons to come back stronger in 2025,” Keselowski emphasized in his video.

Key areas for improvement include race-day execution, adapting to evolving track conditions, and optimizing performance in high-pressure playoff scenarios. With Keselowski’s wealth of experience and RFK Racing’s commitment to growth, the team is poised to bounce back stronger next season.

A Legacy in the Making

For Keselowski, 2025 represents an opportunity to cement his legacy not just as a driver, but also as a team leader and co-owner. His ability to guide RFK Racing through adversity and back to contention will define this next chapter of his career.

While the disappointments of 2024 linger, Keselowski’s resolve and determination offer hope for the future. With the groundwork laid and lessons learned, all eyes will be on the No. 6 car when the green flag drops for the 2025 NASCAR Cup season.

Can Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing turn things around and make a run for the championship in 2025? NASCAR fans won’t have to wait long to find out.
