Opel GSe pronta para alargar gama a modelos 100% elétricos

The performance sub-brand of Opel, GSe, is expected to gain new momentum in 2025 with the arrival of its first fully electric model.

The current GSe portfolio includes three plug-in hybrid models: Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, and the Grandland SUV. However, “Auto Express” reports that in the second half of next year, the GSe lineup will add a fully electric version of the Grandland with around 320 hp, equipped with two electric motors, all-wheel drive, and it is expected to utilize a 97 kWh battery, which is also used in the Peugeot e-3008 and e-5008 models.

The same publication indicates that the Astra may also receive a fully electric GSe variant, and later, following the launch of the new generation, the Corsa could also join the fully electric portfolio of Opel’s performance brand.

Remember that Opel decided to revive and redefine the GSe concept as a new high-end sub-brand in 2022, as the electrified successor to the GSi logo that was first used in 1985 on the second-generation Opel Manta.
