InstalVolt inicia expansão na Europa

InstaVolt, a company specialized in ultra-fast charging solutions for electric vehicles, has begun its expansion into the Iberian Peninsula by installing its first two chargers in Portugal.

The British company that develops, installs, owns, and operates ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles announced that it has already installed two chargers in Pegões, near the N10 and N4, just off the A13. Its short-term strategy aims to reach 125 chargers, with locations already contracted and ready to be installed.

InstaVolt’s expansion plan includes the installation of 5000 ultra-fast chargers in the Iberian Peninsula by 2030.

The British company also revealed that the new chargers installed in Portugal are associated with the mobi:e platform and can be operated via contactless payments, allowing drivers to charge their vehicles using any credit or debit card that features this technology.

“The use of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing across Europe, and Portugal is no exception. It is evident that the existing charging infrastructure does not meet demand. Thus, our expansion into Portugal aims to support the economy in continuing its transition to a sustainable energy model, in addition to establishing ourselves as a reference point for electric vehicle drivers and the entire sector in general”, said Delvin Lane, CEO of Instavolt, in a statement

It should be noted that InstaVolt is owned by EQT Infrastructure, and has already announced its plans to grow the electric vehicle charging network, which by 2030 is expected to have 16,000 ultra-fast chargers: 11,000 in the UK and Ireland, 5,000 in Portugal and Spain, and 300 in Iceland.
