“Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale pushed to the limit by Valtteri Bottas.”

Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale levado ao limite por Valtteri Bottas

Alfa Romeo continues to test the new 33 Stradale, and after the tests conducted at the Nardò circuit, they have now invited Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas to put the limited edition sports car to the test.

Bottas, who is a member of the exclusive “Club 33,” spent an intense and exciting day at the Centro Sperimentale de Balocco, in the province of Vercelli, Italy, with the Alfa Romeo engineering team, testing the “Prototype 00” of the new 33 Stradale.

“The opportunity I was given to drive the 33 Stradale was very special. I hope my feedback can be useful for the experienced development team at Alfa Romeo in their final tuning,” said the Finnish Formula 1 driver.

“I am extremely satisfied with this test. Today’s experience is close to perfection, which for me means a total symbiosis with the car. The model makes us feel immediately at ease, proving to be extremely agile and precise. The sensations with the car are immediate, being very easy and fun to understand; you don’t need to be an F1 driver to feel them. Moreover, its sound envelops the cabin and is unmistakably Alfa Romeo,” concluded Bottas.

Remember that the 33 Stradale is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing over 620 hp, which is mounted longitudinally in a central position. It is paired with an 8-speed DCT gearbox, featuring a rear-wheel-drive configuration and an electronic limited-slip differential to deliver exceptional performance.

The engine, which is an evolution of the V6 already used in the brand’s high-performance cars, is mounted longitudinally in the center and allows Alfa Romeo to claim a top speed of 333 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.

The new 33 Stradale also features two driving modes, activated by switches on the central tunnel: “Strada” and “Pista.” The first mode, active when the car is started, ensures comfort and driving pleasure, with smooth power delivery, the usual pedal sensitivity, soft suspension, smooth gearbox, and active exhaust valves that only open above 5,000 rpm. In “Pista” mode, the driver opts for a more adrenaline-fueled experience: power is maximized, pedal sensitivity is even greater, and the suspension is stiffer, allowing for quick gear shifts, with the active exhaust valves always open.

It is already known that Alfa Romeo will produce only 33 units of this supercar, with production being carried out by hand at the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera facilities.
