Hyundai apresenta o robô vestível para aumentar a eficiência e reduzir lesões

The Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab has unveiled a wearable robot, the X-ble Shoulder, a type of exoskeleton that, according to the brand, can enhance worker efficiency and reduce musculoskeletal injuries.

Regarded as the beginning of a new era in wearable technology, this X-ble Shoulder allows for increased muscular strength in the user’s arm and reduces the load on the upper musculoskeletal system when used for “suspended work.”

The Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab ensures that the X-ble Shoulder, which is the first product in the “X-ble” line, enhances worker safety, reduces musculoskeletal injuries, and provides greater user comfort along with increased efficiency.

The main feature of the X-ble Shoulder is that it generates assistive force through its muscle compensation module instead of an electric system, with a non-powered torque generation structure. There is no need to charge the X-ble Shoulder separately, making its maintenance and management very practical.

As a result, the X-ble Shoulder can reduce shoulder load by up to 60% and tension in the anterior/lateral deltoid muscle by up to 30%, improving the quality of life for workers.

The X-ble Shoulder was designed with user safety as the main priority. It includes carbon composite materials that are wear-resistant, used in high-end vehicles. Due to its high strength and lightweight design, the product offers maximum stability and can be used easily and effortlessly, even over long periods.

The Hyundai Motor Group Robotics Lab ensures that the modular robotic components and the removable, washable vest make the X-ble Shoulder not only easy to manage and adaptable to various work environments but also compatible with standard work clothing across many different sectors.

“The X-ble Shoulder is a wearable robot that leverages the technical capabilities of our Robotics Laboratory and incorporates feedback from real users,” stated Dong Jin Hyun, vice president and director of the Robotics Laboratory at Hyundai Motor Group. “In the future, we aim to expand the availability of portable robots, creating products that naturally work with users to enhance their daily lives. By pushing technological boundaries, we will make these beneficial products accessible to more people.”
