Ken Dorsey spills the beans on his brutal Bills firing!

Good coaches usually land on their feet in the National Football League. That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see Ken Dorsey land a new job shortly after getting fired. The Buffalo Bills decided to move on from him at midseason, and while it felt like he was being scapegoated, their offense looked much better once Joe Brady took the reins as offensive coordinator.

With that in mind, Dorsey claimed that he has now turned the page and is excited about beginning the next chapter of his career in Cleveland (via Jake Trotter). “The head coach decided to make a change. That’s something I’ve turned the page on,” he said, per Trotter. Ken Dorsey, on being fired in Buffalo: “The head coach decided to make a change. That’s something I’ve turned the page on. I’m excited to be here (in Cleveland).”

Notably, Dorsey will replace Alex Van Pelt as offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, and he could be a match made in heaven for this team. He’s innovative and creative when it comes to designing plays, and his work with strong and mobile quarterbacks is more than well-documented. More than that, play-calling has never been his biggest strength, which is why the work alongside Kevin Stefanski could be seamless, as he’s one of the coaches who refuses to give up those duties.

Dorsey will have his hands full working with Deshaun Watson, who’s been unimpressive since arriving in Berea despite getting a fully-guaranteed $230 million contract. He helped Cam Newton have the best season of his career, winning an MVP and making it to the Super Bowl, and he also helped Josh Allen become a perennial MVP candidate, so Browns fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about their new offensive architect.
