Adamastor Furia: superdesportivo português de mais €1,6 milhões que chega aos 300 km/h

The Adamastor Furia is the road version of the first Portuguese supercar, equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine from Ford Performance, capable of delivering over 650 hp and more than 571 Nm of maximum torque.

These figures allow for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.2 seconds. The top speed exceeds 300 km/h.

To achieve these performance levels, the Adamastor Furia was designed from day one with maximum aerodynamic performance in mind, aiming to set new standards in dynamic performance within the exclusive segment of high-performance vehicles, not only on the road but also on the track.

To this end, the Furia is equipped with a body entirely constructed from carbon fiber, eliminating the need for the spoilers and ailerons typically used to enhance the essential downforce for dynamic performance, which often result in visually less elegant solutions.

To maintain an elegant design, the specialized team at Adamastor developed an elaborate underbody with a Venturi effect, which aerodynamically generates significantly less drag, something that also influences the maximum speed, allowing for the generation of a large portion of the total downforce.

The so-called Venturi effect occurs when a fluid, in this case air, travels through a conduit like those incorporated into the design of the Furia’s underbody, experiencing a decrease in pressure as it passes through a narrower area. This suction effect translates into a significant increase in airspeed and, consequently, greater load on the vehicle against the asphalt.

Additionally, the innovative decoupled suspension – developed internally by Adamastor – whose geometry is capable of independently and reactively controlling the roll and pitch movements of the Furia’s body, also maximizes the benefits of the Venturi effect underbody. This allows for consistent control of ground clearance as well as enhancing tire contact with the asphalt, resulting in superior grip levels.

Adamastor has already revealed that the Portuguese supercar is capable of producing an impressive aerodynamic load of 1900 kg at a speed of 250 km/h.

It should be noted that Adamastor, utilizing new technologies and simulation software, has completed over 30,000 laps to fine-tune and enhance the performance of its supercar, validating the chassis behavior and its dynamics under the most demanding usage conditions, and has recently begun track testing of the Furia.

It is already known that Adamastor will produce only 60 units of the Furia, each priced at €1.6 million plus taxes.
