Donkervoort diz adeus ao motor de 2,5 litros com edição especial do F22

The Dutch manufacturer of sports models, Donkervoort, has just surprised its fans with the launch of a special and limited version of the F22, called the Final Five.

This special variant celebrates the 2.5-liter turbocharged engines from Audi that the manufacturer has been using for the past 25 years, culminating in what Donkervoort refers to as “the best five-cylinder car the world has ever seen.”

Like other versions of the F22, the Final Five boasts a power output of 492 hp, which may not seem very impressive; however, considering this sports car weighs only 716 kg, things get more interesting.

This low weight is aided by a custom-made carbon fiber body. Additionally, the Final Five is equipped with carbon-ceramic brake discs, carbon fiber wheels, and a titanium exhaust system that helps eliminate 4 kg of weight.

The 2.5-liter turbo five-cylinder engine transmits power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Donkervoort claims that this Final Five only takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and can reach a top speed of 290 km/h.

The Dutch manufacturer also announced that the Final Five is equipped with electronically adjustable TracTive dampers, double wishbone suspension at the front and rear, and Nankang AR1 tires sized 235/40 at the front and 275/35 at the rear axle.

As expected, Donkervoort will produce only five units of this Final Five, all of which are already sold at a starting price of €315,000.
