Porsche apresenta novo Taycan 4 e GTS com 700 cv

Porsche has expanded the number of Taycan versions to 16, with the introduction of three new variants. The lineup is now more complete with the addition of the Taycan 4 and the GTS, available in both sedan and Sport Turismo formats.

The electric sports car surpasses its predecessor in almost every aspect. The new models have more power, greater range, faster acceleration, and charge in less time with greater stability.

Additionally, all versions of the Taycan feature an even more extensive list of standard equipment and come with the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience.

The improvement in performance and efficiency is justified by the introduction of a new rear motor with an additional 80 kW of power compared to its predecessor across all models, a modified inverter with optimized software, more powerful batteries, revised thermal management, a next-generation heat pump, and a modified recovery and all-wheel drive strategy. As a result, at 800V DC charging stations, charging can be done at up to 320 kW of power.

The Taycan 4 benefits from two motors, one on each axle, providing all-wheel drive. This model was previously available in the Cross Turismo lineup, but is now an option in the sedan format.

In terms of performance, the power of the Taycan 4 varies depending on the installed battery, with either standard Performance or Performance Plus as an option. The result is an overboost power of 408 hp or 435 hp, respectively, when using Launch Control.

The range of the Taycan 4 also depends on the chosen battery. The Performance battery claims a range of up to 559 kilometers, while the Performance Plus battery allows for a distance of 643 kilometers.

Porsche has also revealed that the Taycan 4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, making it two-tenths of a second faster than its rear-wheel-drive “sibling.”

On the exterior, the Taycan 4 stands out with 19’’ Aero wheels and black brake calipers, as well as LED Matrix headlights. Additionally, Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) come standard.

The interior includes standard electric Comfort front seats, partial black leather trim, a dark silver highlight package, a leather sports steering wheel, brushed aluminum door sill protectors in silver, and the Sound Plus package.

On its part, the GTS version is capable of delivering a total power of 700 hp, using “launch control” and in “overboost.” The Sport Chrono package comes standard and features a button that, when pressed, allows an additional 100 hp for 10 seconds. The Taycan GTS and GTS Sport Turismo accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds faster than their predecessors. The sedan takes-

only 10.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h – 1.6 seconds less than the predecessor. The range has also been improved by over 120 kilometers, reaching a new total of 628 kilometers (WLTP).

To showcase the exciting character of a GTS, a more distinctive sound profile has been assigned, similar to that of the Taycan Turbo S. This sound characteristic sets it apart from other Taycan models.

Both the exterior and interior are equally distinctive, featuring various details in black or anthracite gray on the outside. A new feature in the Taycan GTS, compared to its predecessor, is the Sport Design front and rear bumpers with

Black glossy inserts, a finish that is also used on the bases of the exterior rearview mirrors. On the other hand, both the 20” Aero Design wheels, standard on the Taycan Turbo S, and the 21” RS Spyder Design wheels, are available as options and are exclusively painted in anthracite gray for the GTS version.

Porsche has already announced that the new variants of the Taycan are now available for order, with prices starting at €112,612 for the Taycan 4, while the GTS starts at €156,128. The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo starts at €157,154. The first deliveries are expected to begin in early 2025.
