Sergio Perez, a six-time Grand Prix winner, has endured a brutal 2024 Formula 1 season with Red Bull Racing, struggling to match expectations behind the wheel of the RB20. As he faces the final three rounds of the campaign, Perez is under intense pressure to deliver solid performances to retain his seat. Despite his rough season, which has left him in eighth place in the standings with just 151 points, Perez is optimistic about finishing strong.

The Mexican driver heads into Round 22 on the iconic streets of Las Vegas, where he scored a third-place finish in 2023. Eager to turn his fortunes around, Perez stated confidently, “I think we will be competitive in the last three races of the year.” With only three events remaining, Perez has the opportunity to make a lasting impression and boost his chances of staying with Red Bull in 2025.

However, Perez’s season has been marred by costly crashes, making him the driver with the highest damage bill in 2024. According to statistics, his incidents on track have cost Red Bull a staggering $4,861,000 in damages. One of the most severe accidents occurred at the Monaco Grand Prix, where Perez collided with the barriers while battling Haas drivers from the back of the grid, setting off a series of setbacks that have plagued his season.

As he prepares to tackle the Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi circuits, Perez faces a critical period. Solid performances in these final races could help restore his standing within Red Bull and potentially secure his future with the team. With Red Bull expected to weigh their options, Perez’s results in these closing rounds may determine whether he gets a chance to redeem himself in 2025.
